Roped Magnolia!

The back view.

Based on the political science reality of our times. I am not expecting her to receive much fanfare. I however am thrilled with how she has turned out in age, texture, and time worn. My photography does not do her justice. She is based on the premise of the medical endurance I have had too endure. As she is not meant to be a toy but a sculpture. I debated on weather I should make her hexagon box a working piece. I decided it should not be so.

Overworking ART!

I am not alone in this. I have read and heard many responses to this thought of a full brained artists mind in paintings not finished yet, not fit to be seen yet, should you keep them a secret till the final unveiling... and then the other thought comes too mind. Overworking your art... I think it is a matter of preference, style and technique. If a piece is haunting you and you are unsure in the finished process as an artist's vision is never complete. My suggestion to myself and others is too turn the piece and give it the time it needs to be realized.

Roll with it.

If you paint allot on location when traveling to shows and galleries quite a bit. A "tip" for the traveling artist. The internal space of rolling luggage is an ideal space for small prints and plenty of room for art supplies. Make sure to check carry on size charts.

Summed up Blogging Tips and Rules of May, June, July 2009!

The World Traveler Without Leaving My Home!

In reading my first and only artful blogging. The first is notable to obvious tips on how I am supposed to be my own "publisher" author, editor, and photographer. Light, get up close and personal, use texture, don't be afraid to delete and do not clutter. I have not had a camera in years so the technology is new too me. I have a basic point and shoot and an old tripod. I however do not have a gorgeous backyard flowing with roes and I have no more pets.

Important tip too note: People are more visual and the photographs express the thoughts. In very low light conditions adjusting the ISO to a higher number is also helpful. The ISO is how your camera measures the light coming into its sensor. So a higher number means a greater amount of light. Then they give the caution. When increasing the ISO on your camera, it can sometimes result in "grainy" looking photographs. Try shooting at a sunrise and sunset for some realistic and fantastic shots. Take out camera manual and then steal a pretty photograph from pinterest. lol...

The liberate your inner writer of "writer's block" of things to do and things not to do. If you follow this advice, even this post can be packed with vivid and entertaining details. The Katherine Hepburn quote. If you always do what pleases you at least one person is pleased. The this may sound self indulgent but you cannot be all things to all people.

1. Think in conversation as opposed to school grammar and sentence structure.
2. Introduction, body of the entry and conclusion.
3. Zero in on one topic per post instead of several.
4. Brainstorm: Asking a series of question of who, what, when, where, why, and how.
5. The first rule of story telling is show, don't tell.
6. Be fresher and more spontaneous.
7. When you write from the heart you have a better chance of connecting to your readers.
